SHORT-TERM INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

It’s Time for a Change. Take the Next Step.

What do you want to change in your life?

Your worry? Grief?

Your potential?

How you are coping with a chronic illness?

Change can be external, such as beginning an exercise program, looking for a new job, or ending a relationship.

Change can also be internal like spending less time worrying or coming up with new possibilities for your life.

The purpose of therapy is behavior change.

Sessions through Panorama Therapy are individual and provided online through a video link. Each session is 45 minutes long and often includes A mindfulness exercise, as well as evidence-based behavioral therapy work.

During our first session we’ll collaborate to come up with a workable behavioral change goal for you.

Warning: a goal is not the same thing as a wish, and therapy is not a magic lamp!

Your goal gives us a basic map.

During the therapy sessions we will explore the possible paths to reach that goal.

The mindfulness portion of therapy is generally an iRest® Yoga Nidra exercise.

Although I love a good yoga class, don’t let the name fool you – this type of yoga does not involve physical movement.

iRest® is a guided meditation; it’s especially good at taking you out of your thinking mind and encouraging you to consider a range of possibilities.

Many people come to therapy only seeing one path forward.

Mindfulness allows them to relax and consider a multiple avenue of potential actions.

After six to eight sessions we’ll check in to see how you’re progressing toward your goal and if you are satisfied with your progress.

Most people complete their goal within eight weeks and are ready to stop therapy sessions. Others change their goal based on work we have already completed and commit to more time.

Some people reach their goal and choose to have a session every few months to check on their progress.

It is entirely up to you what works best.
